With an extensive background in multiple types of writing, I am always keen to stretch, change, grow, and experiment.

My poetry book, Shield, was published by Verve Press in 2021

Journalist

Having written from a young age, it was no surprise to me or my family that I wanted to move into articles and journalism. I have written news articles and comment pieces for publications including the Guardian, the Wellcome Collection, Novara Media, Red Pepper and others.

Poet

I won the London Writers’ Awards for Poetry in 2018, and was shortlisted for the Jerwood Compton Fellowships in 2019. I was runner up in the Yale/UCL Poetry Prize in 2021 for Fibrotic.
As well as my pamphlet, Shield, I have had work published in publications including Magma, Rialto, and Zoeglossia.

Scriptwriter

With a significant interest in scriptwriting, reading, and editing, I have worked across the media industry, including for Netflix on the upcoming KAOS. I am currently also developing my own original projects with major production companies and channels.

I wrote When We Got Sick for Graeae in Spring 2020. It was a monologue read by Simon Startin, directed by Nickie Miles-Wildin, and introduced by Jack Thorne.

I also wrote the full script for NOT DYING, my solo show, which premiered in 2019, and for which I won Evening Standard Future Theatre Fund

I have a completed playscript and a number of projects currently under development.

Sensitivity reading

I have carried out sensitivity reading for a number of projects including Tan France’s Queer Icons – an Audible podcast in which I worked on Episode 2 – Bobbie Lee Bennett. Other projects currently remain confidential.
