Creative Access Consultancy

Access is the first step in creating work – not the last one. I offer in-depth creative access consultancy for theatre, drawn from my experience at CRIPtic Arts directing accessible performances at venues including the Barbican Centre and HOME Manchester.

Building it in from the beginning with an experienced access consultant is crucial. This means that as you’re scripting, structuring, and developing the work, you’re considering how to make it accessible for audiences and performers alike.

However, if you’re a week out from performance and have just remembered access, it’s not too late. I’m experienced in coming into work at the last minute and supporting the development of access within it.

Workshop facilitation

I have experience in running creative workshops, spanning poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction, as well as scriptwriting for organisations including Spread the Word and CRIPtic Arts. I also run workshops for creatives on the aspects of building a creative career, from useful tools apps and tech to project management.

Creative and leadership coaching, mentoring, editing, and support

I offer 1:1 or small group structured coaching, free-form mentoring, creative editing, and other advisory work to people at all stages of their creative career. If this is something you’d be interested in, get in touch. If you want to know more, why not read my article on creative mentoring, why I do it.

Sensitivity reading

I have experience in sensitivity reading around themes of gender, sexuality and disability, and am happy to discuss my areas of specialism with anyone interested.
